William Richardson

I have been working in the Visual and performing arts since my first semester at the University of the South in Sewanee, TN in 2008. There, I discovered my love of working back stage in Theatre and my love of Lighting and electricity. I have worked back stage since then and have experience as a technician in nearly every aspect of the Performing Arts. I have an MFA in Lighting Design from Northern Illinois University. I have experience as a Production Manager and Technical Director, as well as a Resident Lighting Designer and Master Electrician. I have a love of education and teaching; inspiring the next generation and seeing their love of the Performing Arts grow.

I am a native to the Chicago area, but have worked all over the country from Dance at The Kennedy Center in Washington, DC to Opera in Charlottesville, VA to an outdoor music and theatre venue in Bardstown, KY. My Hobbies and interests include camping, hiking, flying small aircraft and adventure games. Although live Performing Arts technical work is my passion, I was a physics and geology major in undergrad and have always enjoyed mathematics and the outdoors.
